Kerbside rubbish and recycling schedule changes

Coromandel Peninsula | Tue February 13, 2018

11 OF 13. This is the caption text

TCDC's kerbside rubbish and recycling collections have now moved to the non-summer schedule, with one rubbish pick-up per property every week and recycling collected fortnightly.

This week is Week 1 in the fortnightly recycling collection, so if the address label near the top of your wheelie bin says "Tue 1", put out your bin and your crate for glass this week. Next week is Week 2.

The non-summer schedule runs until the week before Christmas. Download the schedule for your area  from www.tcdc.govt.nz/kerbside.

Please put your rubbish in official TCDC blue bags, available from any dairy or supermarket.

Glass will be collected in any council-issued crates. This is because they all use a similar design which the runners can clip to the side of the trucks and have both hands free to sort the glass.

Glass left in non-council crates will not be collected. If you need an extra crate they cost only $15 from any of Council's offices.

Rubbish in blue TCDC bags and recycling can be left free of charge at any of the seven Refuse Transfer Stations. Hours and locations are on www.tcdc.govt.nz/rts.
