With six new passionate members to the 2022/2023 Board, exciting times are ahead for the Mercury Bay Business Association. After their first social get-together for some time due to covid, the new Board met to initiate plans for their next year and one of the first things was to get underway with preparations for the annual Whitianga Christmas parade. Last year, it had to be a drive-by Christmas Parade because of Covid restrictions and The Informer led the way, but this year everyone is ready for an ‘all-stops-out’ Christmas Parade. Clare Tod, Secretary of the Business Association, is getting in touch with businesses, community organisations, schools, pre-schools, groups, to issue invitations to put in a Christmas float.
