Former Whitianga student lining up for NBL

Corban Mason, a former Mercury Bay Area School student and Mercury Bay Senior Girls basketball coach, has been included in the Nelson Giants line-up team for the 2022 National Basketball League.

Corban has been playing premier grade club basketball for Lincoln University in Christchurch where his team came second at the university nationals.

As well as playing basketball, Corban is completing a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in accounting and finance, but has made the move to Nelson to join the Giants. He will complete his studies online.

Corban previously spent some time in the US where he played basketball in Port St Lucie, Florida.
