Great Fun - Na Ihowa Ahau Kids Friday afterschool Youth Group

The Informer has been twice to this youth club which meets after school to 5.00pm in the Whitianga Town Hall during every school term. It is for primary age children, preferably seven years and older. Home schooled children are very welcome. There is no charge; its free and the programme is packed full of such fun with games and stories and craft and a great afternoon tea. This is a club of a high calibre in terms of organisation, pace and content. It is based on Christian values and the story time has Christian teaching in the narrative. Nothing is pushy or dogmatic. Children love the atmosphere and the friendship, and it looks like a big release of energy after the school week. Anita Prime is the organiser and leader of this club, and she has a strong and experienced team of volunteers.
