Gumboot Friday

A week before Gum Boot Friday, Mike King had visited Whitianga as part of the national drive to promote the work of ‘I Am Hope’ Foundation.

Harcourts Real Estate annually sponsors Gum Boot Friday fundraising right across New Zealand and so it was a very natural connection that on Gum Boot Friday afternoon, Harcourts Whitianga organised fun, food and entertainment for children and their families.

It wasn’t a giant fair, as we have had quite a few big events lately in Mercury Bay, but it was a genuine and effective work to connect the community to the awareness of this life saving work which provides counselling for thousands of young people throughout New Zealand when they are in distress.
