Its ok to talk about your fears

Know that its brave to bare your soul

To show you're vulnerable

So why not give it a go

So you’ll really know

That it will set you free

Free like a bird flying high in the sky

And if someone hurts you, forgive them

I know it’s easier said than done

but if you can manage it

you can see the beauty in anyone

My name is Hanako music is my passion. I have lived in Whitianga for 15 years. I started writing poetry and songs at the age of 13. Before that, I would do a lot of creative writing especially during my time at Whitianga Mercury Bay Area school.

I wanted to write a song that can help people. A song that encourages people and lets them know that it is okay to be vulnerable and for them to be their true self. In the song I have put some life lessons that I have learned that I feel like other people maybe able to relate to.
