Harmonic Resonators - Te Puna Reo ō Whitianga fundraiser

The Harmonic Resonators coming for Te Puna Reo ō Whitianga fundraiser

Saturday, 5 November, 3pm – 6pm Monkey House Lounge and Cabaret, 18 Coghill Street, Whitianga

With over 87,000 followers on Facebook and fans the depth and breadth of New Zealand, Whitianga is very lucky to be a stop on the very busy tour schedule of the The Harmonic Resonators. The Harmonic Resonators are fast becoming New Zealand icons with their unique blend of down-home on the farm country singalongs, Waiata Māori, and feel-good covers of the after-party classics. They are also being super generous with their time to squeeze a show in after appearing in Thames the morning of 5 November for Gumboot Day; and then racing to bless the crowds in Whitianga at the Monkey House for a matinee performance from 4pm. This family band are generously donating a portion of the proceeds from their ticket sales to Te Puna Reo ō Whitianga, and the venue will also be donating a percentage of their bar take.

The great work that the committee and tireless volunteers have done at Te Puna Reo ō Whitianga is evident with their beautifully refurbished space, ready to offer whānau and tamariki/children to meet regularly in an environment based on tikanga Māori. The fundraiser from 3pm outside 18 Coghill Street will include raffles with spot prizes donated by generous local businesses such as Mercury Bay Pharmacy Mainly Casual, Wild Wood Mini Golf, Unique and Personalised, Guthrie Bowron, The Warehouse and Wanderlust Media just to name a few. Swing by the Monkey House this next week to buy some raffle tickets or they can be purchased on the day. Delicious frybread, a sausage sizzle and lots of tasty food will be available outside. Eat up, as you will definitely be burning that off on the dancefloor with the band’s great tunes!

Tickets are selling very fast, so you will need to grab them quickly from Eventfinda at the i-site, or from Molly & Kaspur Franke from Beat Fairy Events (www.beatfairy.com) at the venue, open each day from 5pm Mon to Saturday.
