Inspirational ideas arrive at GB carpark

Guthrie Bowron Roadie Inspo Bus, which visited the local Whitianga store this last Wednesday, was a big success. This inspirational showroom on wheels had over 60 people come to explore the décor possibilities presented in the very colourful stylish interior.
Alex Fulton, the buses’ interior designer, came with her creation and graced the visitors with her own personal suggestions, listening carefully to what they thought might work for their particular room or renovation. The spinning wheel was kept busy as each visitor to the bus had a spin and most won a mystery prize prepared by Guthrie Bowron when the wheel’s pointer came to a favourable resting point for them. The big prize of winning a $10,000 room make-over was available to everyone who visited the bus. The lucky winners’ name will be announced when the Inspo Bus has finished its tour of all the Guthrie Bowron stores in New Zealand early next year.
Just as popular was the children’s colouring-in competition organised by our local GB store. This was on the back cover of the previous issue of The Informer and copies were also distributed to Mercury Bay Area School. There were three different age categories, 4-6 years, 7-9 years, and 10-12 years. Rachael and Julian, the owners of Guthrie Bowron Whitianga, want to thank all the children who worked so hard on their colouring-in. Many entries were very impressive and the stories from the parents of the dedication and efforts made were humbling. Everyone did a great job and it was hard to choose winners. For the next week all entries will be displayed on the store window with first, second & third places identified. Please see the names of the winners below and prizes can be collected in store.
