Out and about at Easter.

Easter Egg Hunt and places to go this week.

By Pauline Stewart.

Easter Egg Hunt held last Tuesday afternoon, 11 April, was a blast with over 100 children

registering. The rain did fall heavily at the wrong time but the children just kept on and didn’t seem to care too much. The Informer enjoyed preparing the Easter Egg Hunt and found the children to be thoughtful, appreciative and full of energy and fun. We will do this again.

Thank you to our sponsors many of whom not only donated funds but supported the operation of the Easter Egg Hunt. The children and families say thank you as well: Bayleys Real Estate, 4 Square Buffalo Beach, Mercury Bay Twin Cinemas, Go Kiwi, Harcourts Whitianga, North Real Estate, St Andrews By The Sea, Coromandel CFM.

ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE CHILDREN:

There are three more vouchers to be won!

Many of the children’s Great Easter Escapade Sheets got wet in the rain during the Easter Egg

Hunt - so they do not have a record of how to win a voucher to be won in The Great Easter Escapade. Here are the details as set out in their leaflet. We know there’s lots of great things to do

locally. We are encouraging you to visit two of the attractions below and snap a photo for proof.

Send in your two photos and go into the draw to win vouchers valued at $50. Have a great holiday! Visits to these places all involve learning, play and exercise. Whiti Farm Park has a family holiday pass special for $35 (2 adults and 2 children or equivalent).

First winner - Our first winner drawn from the first round of entrants is Ella Horne - 8 years old

- who visited the Whitianga Bike Park and the Whitianga Library for her entry into the draw for

a $50 voucher.

Her grandmother, Seonid Horne, says, “Ella climbed easily and happily to the summit at the

Bike Park. Earlier in the day, she took part in making an Easter Bunny sock door-stopper at the

Library. She is loving her week in Whitianga with her grandparents. “ Remember, three more vouchers to be won! So send in your photos and your details to go in

the draws.
