Police Report

General: Wednesday, 10 May a Family Harm matter occurred at a Blacksmith Lane address. Further investigations are being made regarding the incident.
Saturday, 13 May, a Family Harm incident occurred at a Joan Gaskell Drive business address. Both parties were spoken to and separated by police.
Sunday, 14 May, a Family Harm matter occurred at a Catherine Crescent address. The male party had already left the property prior to police arrival.
Also, on 14 May, a Family Harm incident occurred at a Cobham Drive address with various items being thrown around the house. Both parties spoken to at the time.
Arrests: 1 x male arrested for Breach of Bail and Family Violence
Occurrences:
Tuesday, 9 May, a vehicle was broken into while parked on The Esplanade.
Also, on 9 May, a burglary was reported as having had occurred at a Harbour Lights address. Various items of jewellery were taken.
Thursday, 11 May, a vehicle parked on Isabella Street was unlawfully Interfered with.
Saturday, 13 May, a burglary occurred at an address on Hot Water Beach Road. Various items were taken from a boat at the address.
Traffic:
Wednesday, 10 May, a vehicle collision occurred on SH25 near Whenuakite. The driver was unable to stop in time with trees blown down across the road.
Friday, 12 May, a vehicle has driven into a business carpark on Joan Gaskell Drive to conduct illegal boy-racer activity. They have wilfully damaged the property due to their irresponsible behaviour.
Saturday, 13 May, a car has driven into a parked vehicle on The Esplanade. Nil persons were injured in the collision.
Also, on 13 May, a male driver was stopped in Wharekaho, and breath tested. As a result of his high level, he was suspended from driving and due to appear in court at a later date.
Sunday, 14 May, an intoxicated driver crashed while driving on Eyre Street. The matter will be referred on to other departments.
In May we are targeting restraints, alcohol, mobile phones, and speed.
