Police Report.

Monday, 30 July to Sunday, 6 August

General:

Tuesday, 1 August – A female was identified committing fraudulent purchases at Countdown. She was arrested and will be appearing in court at a later date.

Arrests:

1 x female arrested for Causing Loss by Deception

2 x males arrested for Breaching Bail

1 x male arrested for Breaching Protection Order x 2

Occurrences:

Monday, 31 July - A Protection Order breach occurred at a Wai-Iti Terrace address. Parties had already separated prior to police arrival.

Tuesday, 1 August - A verbal argument occurred between family members at a Meadow Drive address. Both parties were spoken to and separated for the afternoon.

Wednesday, 2 August - A Family harm matter occurred in the Whitianga area. Police spoke with the parties regarding current court documents.

Friday, 4 August

A) verbal argument occurred between a young couple on White Street. Police spoke to the people involved and offered some helpful advice.

B) a male has constantly phoned and texted his partner in excess of 100 times and breaching his protection order. He was located and arrested and will be facing further charges in court.

C) intoxicated male was being physically violent at an address on Redwings Close. As he was also breaching his bail conditions, he was arrested and removed from the address.

Traffic:

Tuesday, 1 August - A disqualified driver was stopped in Whitianga. The vehicle was impounded for a period of 28 days.

Sunday, 6 August - A vehicle lost control while travelling south on SH25 from Whitianga. The driver was located after leaving the area and failed an alcohol test.

Drinking and driving don’t mix. If you drink and drive, expect to be caught. Do you really want to lose your driver licence for a minimum period of 6 months? Please use a sober driver or hire a taxi.
