Pretty Woman - a fun and fund raising night

Years 7 and 8 at Mercury Bay Area School are off to a Camp at Totara Springs from 25th to 28th October this year but not without a lot of fund raising by the parents to enable every child to go.
One of the fun and very happy events to help the fund raising was a Movie night last Thursday 25 August, organised by Rekha Percival , mother of Rohan and also a member of the local Community Board who is standing for Thames Coromandel District Councillor at the coming elections.
The movie was Pretty Woman starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere and many dressed up in theme for the screening especially organised by Mercury Bay Cinema. This fundraising event sold 60 tickets to see the movie. addition five raffle baskets were available donated by local businesses and individuals.
Vanessa Walton and Chantal Ducker who have children in years 7 and 8, staffed the raffle table adorned by so many wonderful items donated by local businesses and individuals to make up the the raffle baskets.
