Rock n Roll National Champions.

These five children from Whitianga have just competed at the National Junior Rock N Roll competition held in Hamilton over Easter. On Saturday, 8 April, the youngest, Dylan Castle and Hazel Whitford, competed in the Junior competition placing First in their dress and Second in their dance. Leo Ramage danced a restricted section with Isabelle Thurgood placing First in
their dress and Fourth in their dance. He also danced in the intermediate section with Charlotte Thurgood and placed first in their dress and dance.
On Easter Sunday, they competed in a best dress ladies and best dressed boy’s
competition. Dylan and Leo were finalists but not placed. Isabelle was a finalist
but not placed. But Charlotte was third and Hazel placed First.
Sunday afternoon saw Leo, Charlotte and Isabelle dance in the Junior Triples
placing First in both dress and dance. Well done and congratulations from the
Coromandel Peninsula community.
