New Dro

p-In sessions
Term Three begins this week on Tuesday, 25July and we look forward to a busy and exciting term as we move into our new schedule. Enrolment day has been replaced with 2 “Drop In” days each term so we have more opportunities for you to come and meet with us and discuss how we can help with any phone or computer issues. We will talk you through the right process for your individual requirements, from the absolute basics with your mobile phone or computer, to more advanced tutorials exploring other opportunities. This includes extending your expertise by getting artistically creative with your photographs, exploring your family heritage with our genealogy classes, finding free knitting patterns online, learning how to tidy up your computer so you can file your documents systematically and always be able to find them. Online opportunities are endless, so do come and join us for a chat over a tea/coffee at our first “Drop In” session on Wednesday, 9 August from 10.15am to 11.15am. This invitation is open to both existing members and non-members. Be assured you will all receive a very warm welcome at Room 9 in the Social Services building at 2 Cook Drive Whitianga. If you require any further information please phone our Admin. Secretary, Sheryl, on 021 022 62504.
Should you decide to join SeniorNet, Membership is just $25.00 annually, and the cost per tutorial ranges from $6.00 to $8.00. New members will receive all the information they need to move forward with confidence. However, there is no pressure on you to join at this stage. This is your opportunity to find out all you need to know, and you can take all the information home with you to decide, in your own time, whether you would like to come on board to open up all the opportunities and challenges available on the internet.
Special Notice to Members: - Grey Power Mercury Bay have invited us to join them at a Luncheon to be held at Mercury Bay Club on Thursday, 21 September. Cost per head is $25.00 and a Roast Dinner will be served. This will be a great opportunity to share a social occasion with people with similar interests. Having already experienced a previous luncheon with them I can vouch for a superb meal and a warm, friendly and fun event. It is time for us to introduce some social events into our calendar and I can’t think of a better way to start. Please mark the date on your calendar - full details next month. Stay well, stay safe,
