There’s been a buzz of activity at the Whitianga Social Services Community Op Shop preparing for the launch of the summer clothing range on Saturday of Labour weekend.
Excitement is building among the dedicated team of 22 volunteers who have spent countless preparing this first drop of summer to ensure it hits the shelves and racks in time for the long weekend.
Prepare to be wowed by a large selection of beautifully styled and cared for designer items, in a stunning range of colours to suit all tastes. This is only possible due to the very generous and thoughtful donations received from a wide support base of both local residents and out-of-towners who have local connections.
Times have been tough in the Coromandel, with weather events and road closures following on so quickly after COVID. All funds raised from the Op Shop contribute to Whitianga Social Services Trust’s activities and programmes, easing the burden on whanau in what has been a tough time for so many.
With summer just round the corner, this is a great opportunity to purchase a quality designer item at an affordable price point, which honours the generosity of the donor who gave it up, knowing that your purchase will enable the good work of the Trust to continue.
The shop will be open on Saturday, 21st October, Labour Weekend from 9.30am – 3.30 pm, so mark this in your calendar.
