The Bike Man Whitianga is for sale

By Pauline Stewart.

“With a heavy heart, we announce the sale of The Bike Man. Ongoing health issues have forced this regrettable decision,” says Tina Clark, co-owner with her husband, Greg.

“This is a good business that has afforded us, for 23 years, a fabulous lifestyle.”

Established in 2000, The Bike Man has been providing a go-to shop for top-quality bicycles, accessories, repairs, and exceptional service. “We have loved it. This is our home,” says Tina.

“We got through Covid, and we got through the cyclones and the broken roads, and the business is very busy and growing, but we have not been able to get through the health issues. Without a prompt sale, we will be forced to close the doors. We seek passionate individuals to carry on this important service to our town and region.”

The beginnings of the name: The Bike Man began in Whangapoa. Greg started repairing bikes and working on bikes for neighbours. In the days when you paid by cheque, Greg and Tina would receive cheques in the mail addressed to The Bike Man and they were even made out to, The Bike Man. At first it was a mobile business, and it just grew from there.

If you are a cycling enthusiast ready to take the reins of a good cycle business; contact Greg and Tina Clark.
