Why Mercury Bay is such an amazing place to live, work and play

As part of the activities celebrating The Informer’s 1,000th issue, we’ve run a photo competition illustrating “why Mercury Bay is such an amazing place to live, work and play”. Thank you to everyone who entered.

Congratulations to the five winners, whose photos are displayed on this page and the opposite page. Each of the winners will receive a $100 voucher to spend with one of our advertisers.

The winners were chosen by well-know Whitianga artist, Wendy Walls, who placed more weight on the photographers’ success in capturing the theme than artistic flair.

All the entries will this week be posted on The Informer Facebook page and several of the photos will be published later this year in our Local and Summer Magazines.
